Coventry City supporters will face another trip to Reading next season after they were beaten by Swansea City in the Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley this afternoon.

Former Coventry City loanee Matty Mills skippered Reading in the game which saw a 20th minute penalty to Swansea for a foul by Khisvanelli who had already been booked. Scott Sinclair duly scored and then added a second a minute later.

Stephen Dobie who was promoted with Blackpool last season, made it 3-0 when he swept home with a half volley from fifteen yards in the 39th minute.

At half-time, former Coventry City midfielder Jay Tabb, who was on the Reading bench, was sent off for comments he made in the tunnel to the referee. A member of Reading's coaching staff Nigel Gibbs was also sent to the stands.

Any thoughts that this match was over as a contest were quickly dispelled when the second half started.

Noel Hunt pulled one back for Reading with a 48th minute header that came off Allen and eight minutes later, Matty Mills reduced the arrears further still.

Reading hit the post in a game watched by a crowd of 86,581 but in the 78th minute, Swansea were awarded a second penalty for a foul by Andy Griffin. Scott Sinclair scored to complete his hat-trick and put the South Wales side 4-2 up and book their place in the Premier League for next season.
