QPR Consider Appeal

Queens Park Rangers are considering an appeal against the dismissal of Danny Shittu.

The defender whose outburst during the Copa Ibiza Final enraged the Sky Blues support and was only quelled by the actions of Tommy Docherty, was spoken to by referee Mr Leake before the opening game of the Arena had even started for an outburst directed at Dele Adebola and Michael Doyle.

Rangers boss Ian Holloway said: "Was Dele Adebola going through to score? Never in a million years. Should he have gone down like a pansy? No, but he was playing a game and will have gone home laughing at the ref. "An appeal is something we'll be looking at but on the whole I thought the referee had a good game in difficult circumstances. "It's notoriously difficult to do well on your travels in this division because most teams have a following of 25,000 or so and they make it very difficult for the officials to give any decision to opposition teams.
