Brentford have decided not to extend the contract of former Coventry City loanee Nick Proschwitz.

The German was lined up by Steven Pressley to join City on loan and Steve Waggott completed the deal to bring him in before the appointment of Tony Mowbray.

Proschwitz failed to impress and was soon left out of the squad by Tony Mowbray. However, an injury to Dominic Samuel saw the former Hull City player recalled to the first team.

Proschwitz scored against Crewe but his penalty miss in City's final game of the season, saw him booed off by the City support, many of whom felt he was the worst player to wear a City shirt this season.
