Coventry City loanee Nick Proschwitz has said that he knows he is a good player.

The German, who has been guilty of missing some good chances for City, told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I am working really hard and playing well, protecting the ball for the team and playing with my team-mates who are creating chances for me and just the last little bit is missing to score every game.

“That’s my hope, to get a goal every time I play, stick it in the back of the net.

“I’m still short of a little bit of match fitness and that last little bit of luck but if I carry on playing I feel I will score many goals and maybe even for the future at Coventry.

“That’s football, I am old enough to see a lot of things in my career and my mentality is never to give up, even when I wasn’t in the picture I was always giving everything in training and staying positive because I know myself that I am a good player."

“It’s never easy when you are not playing but as I said before, I will never give up in my career and have the mentality to always give everything whether that’s on the training pitch or outside on a matchday. I think people have seen I will never give up, never give up chasing a ball and will keep fighting for a team.

“You never know in football. I am on loan here but you never know what the future will bring and maybe I will stay longer than expected.

“I like the manager and his style of football. Even when I wasn’t involved he was always treating me really well and he treats the boys well. He respects everyone and we all respect him and that’s important and that’s why I think it could work really well if he gets a full season in charge.”
