Coventry City midfielder Gary McSheffrey has described the 4,988 City supporters at Milton Keynes on Saturday
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, McSheffrey said: "That was amazing. I had a short loan spell at Leeds in this league and their away following is unbelievable, so that was as good as it gets on Saturday. Bar Arsenal it’s probably the best away crowd I’ve played in front of for Coventry.
“For a game in League One it’s brilliant. When we take huge followings it is usually because it’s a big cup game when you don’t usually get the results, apart from Old Trafford and Blackburn a few years ago, and it was a great win for them.
“The way they got behind us gave us the belief that we could go on to win the game. For ten or 15 minutes we pressed MK Dons so high and kept winning the ball back. We got a bit deeper towards the end when they were throwing everything at us and we were a bit tired but we defended brilliantly and every man did their job.”
