Preston North End are planning to sell defender Neill Collins and bring in out if favour Coventry defender Elliot Ward.

Ward is currently on loan at Deepdale until the end of the season and his arrival saw the departure of Collins to Leeds United on loan, also until the end of the season.

Ward's contract with the Sky Blues end in the summer and Preston manager Darren Ferguson told the Lancashire Evening Post, "It was a case of getting one out to get one in. We had Elliott waiting in the wings but we knew it was getting to the stage where he couldn't wait for much longer, other clubs were interested."
