‎ “Coventry City manager Steven Pressley willl have the resources he wants according to City's CEO Tim Fisher.

"The football operation is very separate,” Fisher told the Observer' Steve Carpenter. “We're looking forward to the new season.

“Pressley is very determined to push for promotion and he doesn't look for excuses.

“He's very demanding as a manager and he'll be looking to bring in those players that he feels will take us up to the next level.

“He is being given access to the resources that he wants. He's met and interviewed players.

“Pressley is like a little kid. If he can get the players in that he's been interviewing this week then it'll be great.

“He is a fighter and winner and he wants to take the club forward. He's a very thoughtful, bright and determined individual.

“This year the advantage is we don't start on minus ten points and where there is hope we will push forward.”

Asked if he felt players could potentially be put off signing for the club because of the prospect of playing in front of low crowds at Sixfields, Fisher added: “Absolutely not.

“What happens is the players come here (Ryton), they meet Pressley, they meet Waggott and they say 'yes, I get it, it's a great setup here'.
