Pressley: We've Had Problems With Pre-Season Trip

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that the club have had problems confirming their pre-season tour of Italy.

Two fixtures were announced on Friday evening, some forty odd hours before the players and staff were due to fly out. This news came too late for a number of City supporters from around the UK and Italy, who had been planning to make the trip and only a handful have actually made it to the Lake Garda/Trentino region.

City boss Steven Pressley had used a Glasgow based company to organise the tour and was not happy, saying to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “We’ve had problems with our pre-season trip, getting our games in place and confirmed.

“Two of the teams we’re due to play in Italy are good and we’re still waiting on confirmation of the third game, which is certainly not the club’s fault.

"We have gone through the proper channels to make this trip possible and at this moment in time we’re still waiting on the company we’re dealing with to deliver what was expected of the contract. So we have been let down by the organisation."
