Pressley: We Need A Top Level Performance

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that his side needs a top level performance against Doncaster Rovers on Boxing Day.

We have been watching a lot of their footage and they are a squad with great Championship experience,” Pressley said to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.

“They have got the South African captain, Dean Furman, playing for them and I think that, in itself, shows the quality they have.

“This league is a really tough league full of really good teams because of the influx of foreign players to the Premier League there is a ripple effect where many of the good English talents are dropping into the lower leagues.

“So it’s no surprise when Doncaster go to Swindon and win because any team on any given day can beat anyone else. Crewe beating Bristol City, bottom v top, and these are the results that are common in this league and that’s why if you are not at it every week you will lose games of football.

“Anything below a top level performance means you’ll struggle to get a result.”
