Pressley Wants Return To Ricoh Arena

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that a return to the Ricoh Arena for the Sky Blues would be a massive boost for the club.

The club's owners lost thousands of pounds every game the Sky Blues  played at Sixfields last season due to City supporters staying away, (something the owners were warned about) and that boycott looks likely to continue and be added to if City play in Northampton again this season, if social media and the City supporters we have spoken to are anything to go by.

It does not need a scientist to work out that the way to bring back City supporters in their thousands is to play at the Ricoh Arena and Pressley told Sky Sports News: : “It would be fantastic for everybody involved with the club but especially the supporters, who have endured a great deal over the last 16 to 18 months.

“In the last close-season we were dealt the hammer-blow of a 10-point deduction on the eve of the season, so it would be fantastic to receive a boost in this pre-season that we can return to the club’s home.

“It will make a massive difference. There’s no guarantee it would in terms of results but in terms of the feel-good-factor around the club it would make a huge difference.

“It would be wonderful to play at your home ground and I do think the players would receive a huge list from that kind of news.”
