Coventry City manager Steven Pressley is waiting on the scan results for Reda Johnson and loanee Mohammed Coulibaly to see if they will be fit enough to face Newport County tonight (7.30pm at Spytty Park)

Johnson has had a scan on his thigh and the loanee from AFC Bournemouth has had a scan on his groin and the City boss told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “Reda had a scan on his thigh yesterday and we’ll be getting the results of that today, and the same goes for Mo Coulibaly on his groin.

“They may get a little bit of game time against Newport but, if not, certainly we hope they will play some part against Watford on Wednesday.

“All 22 players will get game time on Tuesday and Wednesday and then they’ll be split for the weekend with some playing Friday and some Saturday.”

Pressley is also expected to give Brian McLean a run out and will play the vast majority of his squad whilst Justin Edinburgh could field former Coventry City striker Shaun Jeffers.
