Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he will not defend his players anymore.

Pressley, who brought in or gave contracts to the vast majority of those who played against Worcester City, speaking at this morning's press conference said: "They want it more and that has never been said of my team.

"It was a frank meeting yesterday, fingers pointed and the players told exactly how it is at this club,

"They (the players) know how it is. There are players at this club that are letting the club down. There is no doubt about it and I will not defend them anymore.

"I have defended these players with my life but not any more because certain individuals in this club are not giving me that back.

"The desire and passion has to come from within and I told my players that they must mirror what I am as a manager and far too many of them are not doing that for me just now and that will change."
