Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he has spoken to captain Reda Johnson following his dismissal.

Johnson was sent off in the 23rd minute for putting his head towards Lyle Taylor in an aggressive manner and this led to a ten man City side going down to a 2-1 defeat at Scunthorpe United.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, Steven Pressley said: “I’ve told him that – he’s a leader, he has a  responsibility and those kind of things can’t happen. You can’t put your head towards an opponent, we know that, and it was definitely a game-changer.

“He accepts he’s made a mistake, he’s taken responsibility and apologised to the group so we accept that – that’s the end of it."
