Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that if Marcus Tudgay continues to impress then he will be offered a deal.

The former Derby forward, has trained for a week with City and then featured in the game at Nuneaton before travelling with the squad to Italy and impressing with his link up play in last night's win over AS Roma B.

"When Marcus came in I spoke to him about the possibilities of coming to Italy and he wanted to see how the first week went, but he was very positive about Italy and if he impresses and he enjoys it, then maybe we can get something done,” said Pressley to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.

“It’s early days yet and he’s still short of fitness but his attitude, to be fair to him, has been first class.

“That’s hugely impressed me and I think he can be an exceptionally fit player for us. So I am hopeful he can impress over the week.

“Marcus’s link play was terrific at times and that’s something I have talked about since Leon Clarke left us, so his ability to retain possession for us was excellent and allowed us to play in areas of the pitch that we wanted to play.”
