Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has been given reassurances by current club owner Joy Seppala.

According to the Coventry Telegraph, City manager Steven Pressley has spoken to SISU boss Joy Sepalla and has been given assurances about the future of the Sky Blues.

The paper are reporting that: "Joy Sepalla told Steven Pressley she's determined to get through this period and build a club everyone can be proud of."

Pressley later said at the weekly press conference to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: "The politics of the football club is not something i particularly want to get involved in.

"My focus has been totally on the football and preparing for Saturday’s match against Hartlepool.

"I spoke with Joy the owner last night and she gave me assurances that she is driven to continue moving this club forward.

"I wanted assurances there would be stability at the football club and she told me she is determined to get through this difficult period and build a football club we can be proud of. That is good enough for me."
