Coventry City manager Steven Pressley was again full of praise for his players for their performance in a 2-1 victory over Gillingham at Sixfields Stadium.

Speaking to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Geoff Foster, the City manager said: "With the excepton of first ten minutes, we were brilliant.

"Joe Murphy, who was struggling with a virus made a couple of  tremendous saves and I told the group that they must keep passing at half time and overall I am delighted.

"Gillingham gave us great respect but credit to our players who created so many chances during the game.

"We did not allow them to counter and I'm delighted that Franck Moussa got the goal his performance deserved.

"It was a performance that got us out of the relegation zone after only seven games and no one would have thought that at the start of the season.

"Leon Clarke's goal was testament to the work of two strikers and Franck. Moussa gives us so much off the ball and he has been performing exceptionally well.

It was a very good defensive performance. We never looked like we were going to concede and that pleased me.

"We will prepare for professionally for Port Vale and with the U18's and U21's winning in midweek, there is a good feeling amongst the club.".
