Pressley Backs Eccleston

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he feels that Nathan Eccleston will come good after wasting a couple of good chances that would have seen the Sky Blues get something from their trip to Peterborough United on Saturday.

Speaking about Eccleston to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, Pressley said: “Nathan is hugely disappointed but I thought he was very effective today. He’s very much bought into the culture of the football club and I think he can develop into a very good striker.

“He needs to gain confidence and that only comes from scoring goals. Unfortunately he’s missed a very good opportunity here but if he had have scored it would have been thoroughly deserved."
