Pressley - We Will Sign Players

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has assured City supporters that players will be signed before the transfer window closes

With City making no income from matches at Sixfields, money will have to be used from the club's run in the FA Cup which included additional income from television or be found by owners SISU Capital Ltd on behalf of the Otium Entertainment Group, in order to bring in players.

The need to sign players this week is also made greater by the fact that annual accounts must be filed with the Football League before March 1st and that for the club's owners failing to file the accounts on time, City for the last three seasons have been placed under a transfer embargo.

Speaking to Keiran Crowley, the City manager Steven Pressley, who is after two strikers: "It's been really tough but we've got several irons in the fire at the moment.

"Trust me, we will have brought in players by the deadline. "We've been trying all month to get the right players in but getting strikers in the building is very difficult.

"Everybody is waiting on getting a player in before letting them go. We're waiting on decisions from clubs and players at the moment as we need the right personnel."
