Pressley - Andy Webster Was Immense

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he thought Andy Webster was immense for the Sky Blues in their 2-0 win at Port Vale.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, Pressley said:  “I thought Andy Webster was immense today – in the last five or six games he has been a real rock for us – and Reda was outstanding in the left-back role again. Since I moved them into that position I think his level of performance has been excellent and he has a desire to get into the opposition box.

“Matty Pennington has acquitted himself brilliantly in his three games since coming here – he’s a very good player and a great character – and Adam Barton was excellent. There were a couple of sloppy ones in the first half but he gave a tremendous performance on Wednesday night and he’s followed that up again.

“He’s a wonderful football player; the one thing that’s always been a concern has been his defensive duties but he’s really improved on that. He smelled danger, he came in and filled between the two centre-backs when he was required so I’m really pleased with him.”
