Pressley - A Good Experience For The Squad

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has described the Sky Blues week in Italy as a good week for the squad.

A tour that was organised by the brother of former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes, has been seen by many City supporters as one for the players rather than supporters who were kept in the dark about matches until less than forty eight hours before the team and the six hardy supporters who had booked flights and hire cars on the off chance, were due to fy out.

Whilst Coventry basked in sunshine, the weather was not so good in Italy and the AS Roma B survived being abandoned at the request of both teams whilst Saturday's game against a Top Lega Select side was postponed just over an hour before kick off.

City did manage to play three matches with a win, a loss and a draw in a game against Greek side AEL Kalloni which saw Danny Pugh and Billy Daniels sent off and speaking to Keiran Crowley, Pressley said: "It was a really good experience for the squad. We played the three games which were all good work-outs for the players.

"The standard of training was exceptionally high and the training facilities were top quality.

"The only disappointing aspect was the weather. If the weather was as good as it has been in Coventry over the last week, it would have been better."
