Coventry City's ticket office staff are pleading with supporters to bear with them.

The staff have been deluged with supporters wanting to buy season tickets and match tickets for Friday's League One game against Gillingham at the Ricoh Arena and a club spokesperson told the Coventry Telegraph:  “The ticket office and all staff at the club are extremely busy trying to make sure the match runs smoothly on Friday- whether this is selling tickets to 2012/13 season ticket holders, sending out tickets already purchased or logistics around the match day.

“Staff will respond to messages as quickly as possible, but please bear with us!

“Of course we want as many City supporters in the stadium as possible and will be working hard to try to do this.

“At the same time, we said at the outset that we would give season ticket holders from 2012/13 as long as possible to purchase a ticket in their seat for the match and that accounts for 4,000 plus tickets.”
