Play-Offs Are Probably Beyond Us- Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley feels that the play-offs are now possibly beyond the reach of the Sky Blues.

“If truth be told, I think the play-offs are probably beyond us," the City boss told Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph.

“I look at the table and look at the weekend’s result which was a blow because these are the games that we have to win if we want to be serious about challenging.

"And I think that because of circumstances – the penalty points, what we’ve had to deal with in general – that at this moment the play-offs are probably beyond us this year.

“I feel, realistically, that five of the places have gone and there’s only sixth place up for grabs, and we are a number of points behind several teams who are going for that.

“But we still want to win every game – absolutely – and we have to make sure our League One status remains. That was our first ambition at the start of the season, to survive, and we also have to make sure we put the foundations in place for next season.”
