Coventry City players will take a lap of the Ricoh Arena pitch to thank supporters for their support after tomorrow's League One game against Crewe Alexandra.
City have said: "We plan for players to thank fans for their support during this season immediately after the game. The players will not leave the pitch, and will remain on the pitch to do this.
We don’t anticipate any issues, but if the safety of the players cannot be ensured due to any pitch encroachment (however good natured it may be), this may not be possible. It is a criminal offence to enter the field of play during or after the game, and we want the players to have the opportunity to thanks fans for their continued backing during this campaign."
