Former Coventry City youngster Craig Faulconbridge played for Woking in their 1-0 defeat at Bath City in the Conference South Play-Off Final this afternoon.

Nuneaton born Faulconbridge, was released by Gordon Strachan in 1999 without making a full first team appearance, although he was a regular for City Reserves before being loaned out to Dunfermline and Hull City.

Faulconbridge was so wanted by Woking boss Graham Baker that he paid the fee for the striker, who has more Football League experience with Wrexham and Wycombe and speaking about him to the Non-League Paper, Baker said: "Craig has been fantastic for us. Having a target-man who knows his game really takes the pressure off the defence and he holds the ball up so well and stops it coming back at us quickly."

Former City loanee Gary Caldwell was sent off for Wigan in their 8-0 defeat to Chelsea who wrapped up the Premier League title.

Jack Cork scored in his last match for relegated Burnley who beat Spurs 4-2 at Turf Moor.
