Coventry City striker Clive Platt has denied being linked with Norwich City.

The striker had been set to go to Norwich on loan but the transfer embargo for SISU not filing their accounts on time and a dispute over Danny Ward with Bolton, put pay to that.

Platt who was absent from yesterday's 2-2 draw at Nuneaton has said that he wants to fight for his place in the City first team and told Sky Sports.com: "I've heard nothing this summer and I've just been getting on with keeping myself fit and preparing to do my best for Coventry next season.

"I'm more than happy here because it is a great club with some great players and a great set of supporters.

"If we do well and the stadium starts to fill up it can be a great place to play football, so we just need to make sure we do well on the pitch to encourage people through the turnstiles."
