Platt Backs Boothroyd

Coventry City striker Clive Platt has backed his manager Aidy Boothroyd who has been coming under-fire from some sections of the City support.

At the moment, the City support appears divided into three categories; those who think he should never have been appointed, those who want him out and those who are backing him regardless and Platt added his two-pence worth on the debate by telling the CT: "For me personally, it is not in his hands what we do when we cross the white line.

"The gaffer is renowned for his management of games and attention to detail and we have not followed that through so it is only us who can be blamed at the moment.

"He gives us jobs and tells people where to be in order that we manage the games but I just think at the moment we are not managing games at all because when you go 1-0 up, you shouldn't let a goal go against you in the next five minutes."
