PL Clubs Considering Snubbing EFL Trophy

According to the Press Association, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are to join Liverpool and Manchester United are considering declining to enter an U21 team in the EFL Trophy which is experimenting with U21 sides from PL clubs entering the competition normally reserved for League One and Two clubs.

Chelsea and Tottenham have grave concerns about the scheduling of the game which are during international breaks whilst Arsenal are understood to be unhappy with the current number of matches being played by some of their younger players.

Manchester City have made a decision but at this moment in time have opted not to make their decision known.
