Loanee Michael Petrasso has said that he wants to enjoy his time at Coventry City and the challenges that League One football brings.

The Canadian was lively on his debut against Carlisle United on Tuesday night and proved he was committed to the cause by tracking back over eight yards to make a saving tackle.

Speaking to Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph, Petrasso who is on loan from Queens Park Rangers said: “We played against Coventry while I was at Oldham and when I heard they were interested in me.

"I was pushing my agent because I knew they are a really good club and knew I’d like to go“QPR were obviously happy for me to go out because I wasn’t getting many minutes in what is a tough squad, so they came to an agreement and it’s great to be here.

“Coming from the 21s and having been on loan before, Coventry is a much bigger club and I am sure it will help my experience in the game.

"There are some good players in the team and it’s different to Under-21 football because these results mean something. There is pressure to get a result and fans to impress, and it’s something I intend to enjoy.”
