According to BBC Radio Sheffield, former Coventry City midfielder Paul Cook has agreed a deal which will see him take over as the manager of Portsmouth FC.
Cook has been manager of Chesterfield FC and steered them to sixth in League One after getting them promoted from League Two as champions.
Portsmouth were initially refused permission to speak to Cook last month.
