Parkinson: You Have To Win In Different Ways

Last updated : 23 November 2016 By CNS Sport

Bolton Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson said that you have to win in different ways after his side beat Coventry City 1-0 with an eleventh minute Zac Clough goal.

Parkinson told the club website: "First-half, I thought we played some excellent football and should have scored more. Second-half, we started slowly though - we were a little bit sloppy in our play and could have got punished for it.

"We probably still had the better chances, but it’s a lesson learnt that we can’t start slowly. When you don’t play great, you have to roll your sleeves up and we certainly did that.

"You have to win all kinds of games in football and we showed we can do that tonight. The top teams are all winning and that’s expected.

"I knew Coventry would have a reaction to their result at the weekend so they deserve some credit, but you have to win in all different ways over the course of the season and we have done that tonight and we’re very pleased."
