Phil Parkinson has left his job with Bradford City to become the new manager of Bolton Wanderers.

Parkinson and his assistant Steve Parkin have signed a two-year contract with Bolton after the two clubs are understood to have agreed a compensation deal yesterday.

Parkinson had four seasons at Valley Parade and led them to a League Cup Final and a play-off semi-final last season.
