Parking Concerns Will Hamper Season Ticket Sales

Coventry City have been warned that supporters concerns of getting to the Arena is seriously affecting their decision to buy a season ticket.

With an exclusion zone being brought in by Coventry City Council and Arena Coventry, supporters who normally drive to the game and park nearby will find themselves unable to do so when the club moves to the new Arena.
Covsupport, speaking to a good number of supporters knows that finding a suitable parking spot as cheaply as possible and within easy walking distance is a major concern for City supporters and that rather than encourage new and exisiting supporters to follow the Sky Blues at the Arena, it is likely to have the opposite effect.

Supporters can use the pub/bus scheme under the Green Travel Plan but numbers are restricted due to a lack of drivers in the Midlands or pay in one of the official park and walk sites.

An angry supporter contacted Covsupport to say: "The Tory councillors who did not want the Arena in the first place have got their way by making it as difficult as possible for us to get there.

"It's no wonder that the car industry in Coventry is in decline, if this is how motorists are treated.

"This is going to cost the club supporters in the long run as City fans will not tolerate this hassle every home game for long. "
