Crystal Palace have denied they are interested in taking former Coventry City striker Gary McSheffrey on loan.

The Birmingham City striker had been rumoured to be interesting Neil Warnock at Selhurst Park.

However, the Palace boss told the South London Press: "I was after him a couple of years ago before he went to Birmingham but he's been injured all season. There's no way I am signing him."

Bolton Wanderers are interested in signing Calum Davenport. A fee has been agreed with West Ham but Bolton boss Gary Megson has said that he is looking at other options as well as Davenport.
