Page: We'll Take The Point And Move On

Northampton Town manager Robert Page has said that his side will take the point and move on after the 1-1 against Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.

Page told the Northampton Chronicle: “I thought we had to be disciplined in our defending again,” said Page after Saturday’s draw. “We were playing against a Coventry team I’ve watched two or three times and they’ve had the lions share of possession but not really created many chances.

“It was a different story today. They looked a threat from inside the first five minutes so we knew we had to be disciplined in our defending which i was pleased with.“But we created enough chances to win the game. I sound like a broken record but it says a lot about the club and the players that we’re disappointed to come away from the Ricoh Arena without the win.“You expect Jak McCourt to put that in and on another day he scores so we’re creating the chances but we’ve got to be clinical and we’re disappointed not to have the win.“We’ll take the positives, we’ll take the point and move onto the next game.”
