City will this afternoon complete a move to take Robert Page on loan from Cardiff City. The Welsh international has recovered from a knee ligament injury picked up when he captained Wales in their 2-0 victory over Hungary. Page joined the Welshman from Sheffield United last July.

Lennie Lawrence told the South Wales Echo: "Robert doesn't want to leave Cardiff City and I don't want him to go. "But he wants to play first team football. He's done that all his life.

"He has been unlucky at Cardiff being injured for a good part of the season. He is a good player. Robert is two or three weeks from fitness, but Coventry want him to go now."

The signing of another striker should also be completed today.
