Coventry City has received over forty serious applications for the position as first team manager. Adrian Heath who is currently care-taker manager is one of those under consideration.

"There are a lot of managers out of work across football and as a result, we have received a lot of quality applications, "said Paul Fletcher to the club website.

"Adrian Heath is obviously in the hot-seat at the moment and he is certainly someone who will be short-listed for the position. "Over the course of the next week or so, I, along with the rest of the selection panel, will be going through the list of applicants to decide a long-list, and then a short-list, of the people we feel fit the criteria we are setting.

"We have had long meetings with Sports Consultants to help us decide the exact qualities we require in our new manager. This will be one of the most important decisions the Club makes this decade."
