Otium's Offer For ACL Share Made An Simple Choice For Higgs Trustees

The Clerk of the Alan Higgs Charity Peter Knatchbull-Huggesen has said that the Trustees of the Charity had a simple choice to make when it came to selling their 50% share in Arena Coventry Limited.

The Charity had originally been sold the share by those running Coventry City for £6m, a decision which has proved far more costly and damaging to the club, given events that have followed since and all which would have been prevented had this deal not taken place.

Sisu, when they took over, decided not to get that share back straight away, meaning that the Sky Blues continued to rent the Ricoh Arena and when London Wasps came on the scene looking for a home after being unable to find a location in London or Birmingham, the rugby club, who had been based at Wycombe, were able to offer the Trustees of the charity what they wanted, rather than according to Peter Knatchbull-Huggesen, speaking to BBC CWR this morning, Otium Entertainment Group via the liquidator, offering some but not all the money and plenty of terms and conditions, which gave the Trustees a simple decision of who to sell to.
