Former Coventry City midfielder/ defender Isaac Osbourne has as expected signed for Aberdeen.

The 25 year old who came through the youth, reserves and first team before he was released in May by Andy Thorn is the fourth signing of the close season for The Dons.

Osbourne, who had been out for well over a year, proved his fitness after being put through his paces by Archie Knox, brother of former VS Rugby boss Jimmy.

Speaking about signing Osbourne, Dons Boss Craig Brown is quoted as saying: "Isaac is a big powerful player whose style will be well suited to the game in Scotland.

"He'll be a valuable member of the squad in the forthcoming campaign.  "Although he missed most of last season through injury, he has come through Archie's rigorous pre-season without any problems whatsoever."
