Operation Premiership Goes National

Paul Fletcher has taken "Operation Premiership" to a national level. The plan to get City back into the top flight in three years has been well documented locally but only now is it starting to be given a national angle.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Paul Fletcher said: "It's a three-year plan and we intend to be back in The Premiership within three years. "If it happens in one year then fine but it's not all about the players, to get into The Premiership you need a massive amount of good fortune on your side, as any manager will tell you.

"So it's a combination of things but step one for Coventry City was to have a stadium that's suitable for The Premiership and here we are, it's built. "Then we need a side, but the only way we can get the side together is through investment."
