Coventry City loanee Matt Pennington has had an operation on his ankle.
The loanee from Everton picked up a serious ankle injury and returned to Merseyside where he has had the ankle operated on.
Speaking about this to Tom Bloomfield, Tony Mowbray said: "Losing Matty Pennington is tough, it is a blow as he has been so consistent. He's had an operation yesterday and he needs to rest."
