Aron Gunnarsson only has a badly bruised left leg rather than a broken leg.
Tests carried out on the Icelander yesterday showed bruising not a break that many had feared. 
"The news is a little bit better than we thought," said Chris Coleman to the CT.
"It was badly swollen on Saturday and we suspected a fracture but we are hoping and praying that is not the case now.
"He is on crutches and it is still badly swollen and in the next few days we will know for sure.
"If it is fractured we are looking at six to eight weeks but if it is not then it will be three to four, so either way we are going to be without him for a little bit."
Gunnarson is now expected to be out for three to four weeks.
