Both Coventry City and Wasps have maintained their stance about the Sky Blues need to be playing at the Ricoh Arena next season and beyond.
Lots of ideas have been floated about how this tedious game of who blinks first will end and the best way to avoid future conflicts and here is a one idea we like.
"Maybe a different tactic might be to take the responsibility of negotiating contracts to keep Coventry City having their teams First Team, U23's and Youth team) playing at the Ricoh Arena, by taking the role away from the owners, etc of Coventry City.
"A new company comprising of representatives from the Coventry City Supporters Forum etc plus representatives from the three City teams that need to use the Ricoh Arena to play their league and cup matches could be formed with its sole task of keeping the three teams playing at the Ricoh Arena by negotiating deals to keep them in CV6 when the need arises .
"As this new company isn't taking legal action against Wasps, the rugby club/ ACL should you hope, be far more open to them trying to sort out deals for three teams to play at the Ricoh on something more than a yearly basis, which currently appears the best we can hope for."
