One Down, Two To Go

Rotherham United have been relegated from the Championship after losing 4-3 tonight at Ipswich Town.

On a night of Championship football when only the Sky Blues and Nottingham Forest did not play, City dropped to 20th in the table after Cardiff won 3-1 at Stoke thanks to goals from Jerome (2) and Peter Thorn.

Brighton were beaten 3-0 at Preston with Canley lad Graham Alexander netting for the Lillywhites, whilst Gillingham lead 1-0 at QPR before a goal from former Sky Blue Paul Furlong gave the West Londoners a point.
Crewe and Watford now find themselves deep in the battle against relegation.
The Cheshire side whom City play at on the final day of the season on May 8th lost 2-1 at home to a Mo Konjic less Derby County. Plymouth Argyle eased their relelgation worries with a 1-0 win over Watford and Leicester look like being safe after a predicatable 1-1 draw at home to Wolves for whom this was the 20th draw of the season - a new club record.

At the top of the table, Sunderland won 1-0 at Wigan and Reading beat Millwall 2-1.
Elsewhere, Coventry City wannabee Danny Nardiello scored for Barnsley in a 2-2 draw at home to Wrexham.
