West Midlands Police have confirmed that one Coventry City has been detained following an incident in the 77th minute of the Sky Blues 1-1 draw with Preston North End at the Ricoh Arena.

Following Preston's equaliser, a Preston fan, one of 627 at the Ricoh Arena, got across the back of the stand towards the Coventry support under the scoreboard.

A punch was thrown and the Preston fan made it back into the away enclosure before stewards arrived, whilst the City fan was detained as he tried to return to his seat.

Police have confirmed the detention of one City fan and have tweeted that "both police and club footage will be viewed to help identify those involved in the segregation line breach / incident and both sets of fans will be looked at."

There were no reports of any trouble outside the ground after the game.
