On The Game

Andy from Nottingham said after the game: "In the first half, our temp was too slow. It was as if our minds were still at Old Trafford. The second half performance was much better though. "We were guilty of trying to walk the ball into the net too often. "Just as I thought we were never going to score Mifsud came up with the goods and it shows something for a our spirit and fitness levels that we were able to snatch a point."

Iain Dowie said: "There's no question we deserved something today. "Charlton were able to change virtually their whole team from their match in midweek whereas we went with more or less the same boys who covered more blades of grass than in any game this season against Man Utd.

"So the fact that we finished the game the more energetic side is credit to the boys and after the chances we created in the second-half it was pleasing to get the result we deserved. "I thought we conceded a poor goal, we knew with the pace they have in their side they would hit us on the break but we gave away a simple header leading up to the goal and it's something we have to work on.

"I'm really pleased for Michael Mifsud and thought he was unlucky not to score before he did with the chance which hit the post in the first-half and then a shot which was saved in the second. "He worked very hard all day and cemented his place in the side with a goal. He still needs to work on his runs and movement but to get three goals in two games in fantastic for the lad."
