On The Game

Laura from Canley said after the game: "City were excellent from start to finish and we never looked under pressure. "Our fans were brilliant but the Man United fans were crap by not singing and leaving early."

Iain Dowie said: "To come here and score twice against zero does my players a lot of credit. "They showed great desire in every position. The keeper made one great save but we limited them to only a few chances really. It was a team that Fergie thought was good enough to beat us and to talk about who was not playing would do a disservice to my players."

"I've been proud of my players ever since I came to this club. "They deserve an enormous amount of credit and all the plaudits for tonight's result. "They played at a level and intensity that I know they are capable of and it was a tremendous response from a very disappointing game on Saturday. "We've come here tonight against a very good side and controlled the ball. We didn't hump it about, we played some good, attacking football with three forwards and it was a big display from a lot of people. "The system worked very well and I felt we created a few good opportunities before Michael Mifsud scored. I think that role cutting inside from the left suits Michael very well."
