Oldham Athletic failed to gain any ground on Coventry City tonight in the League One table.

A win for the Latics would have taken them above Mark Robins side but Oldham went down to a 1-0 defeat against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Former Coventry City captain Sammy Clingan was a 33rd minute substitute for Martin Woods in a game, watched by a crowd of 6,066, where David Cotterill scored the only goal in the 69th minute.

The win sends Doncaster, who face the Sky Blues at home on December 15th, to the joint top of the League One table, whilst Oldham stay in 16th, one place behind City.
