Following the death of Ron Cox last month, there has been much discussion amongst City historians about who is now the oldest surviving former Coventry City player.

It appears that the honour falls to Jack Barnes who was born in April 1908 and played eight matches for City in the 1928/29 season.

Jack is currently in a Warwickshire nursing home and all at Covsupport wish him well.
