Former Coventry City left back Stephen O'Halloran, who was released by Coventry City at the end of the season and who is now at Carlisle United, is determined to put his history of injuries behind him and prove he has the ability to succeed.

O'Halloran only had one season at Coventry following his move from Aston Villa, but he spent much of it on the treatment table. He is now hoping to draw on the experiences of playing with some 'great players' at Coventry and Villa and help his new club Carlisle to success.

O'Halloran told the News & Star: “I want to start playing regularly as I haven’t played as much as I want in recent years. I’ve had a good upbringing in football, you could say, as I’ve played with some great players at Aston Villa and Coventry City."

“Hopefully I can prove to the manager, the rest of the players and the fans I’m good enough to play. It’s been a hard few years with injuries and a bit of bad luck as well but I want to put that all behind me. I’m not going to dwell on the past as this is a fresh start for me.”
