Oggy On Reserves Defeat

Regarding City reserves 5-0 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur last night,Reserve team boss Steve Ogrizovic told the CET: "The game revolved around the sending off and our heads had gone at that time but we defended poorly for all the goals really and it is a shame because there was never five goals in it.

"It looks bad with five goals and a man sent off but I thought we played really well in the second half. We came in 4-0 down and down to ten men at half time and I told the lads that the game had gone and we were playing for pride. So I told them to roll their sleeves up, get narrow and work for everybody and try to keep a clean sheet, and to be fair to them they did well until they lost a stupid goal two minutes from the end.

"Tim (Partridge) raised his hands and although I don't think there was any contact it was a silly thing to do and you can't do that. The referee might be right but I think both players could have gone to be honest because the other lad went in with his head.
